Eve's Hollywood is one of my favorite autobiographies ever. She grew up there, and attended Hollywood High.
One chapter is called "I Met Cary Grant Once."
Its entire contents are as follows: "I met Cary Grant once. He looked just like Cary Grant."
The woman knows how to restrain a laugh for maximum impact. Great book.
Tana, I'm going to have to check that out, she seems pretty awesome. Sounds like you file it somewhere between Valley of the Dolls and The White Album.
